We are a professional Association of New Jersey-based healthcare recruiters dedicated to promoting and exchanging sound principles of professional hospital recruitment for mutual benefit and professional advancement. We also seek to maintain cooperative relationships with healthcare institutions. We are the only state organization dedicated exclusively to the interests of professionals in the recruitment, marketing, interviewing, advertising and retention of healthcare personnel.
Our membership consists of healthcare facilities throughout the state with individual members coming from each of them. The NJAHR is committed to promoting awareness of our organization and the valuable resources we provide to members. Additionally, we take a proactive approach in addressing the constant changes in healthcare and the labor force, and their impact on recruitment and retention. For example, we have held information sessions for school guidance counselors and educators, offer annual nursing and allied health scholarships, initiated a Nursing Girl Scout patch, held an Executive Leadership Conference for HR VPs, received the prestigious Chapter of the Year Awards in 2004, 2007 and 2011.
In 2013 NJAHR received NAHCR’s Chapter Recognition of Silver Status, and in 2014 NJAHR was recognized at IMAGE for Gold Status. Most recently we partnered with Twin Oaks Community Services during their “Operation Fill-A-Backpack” school supply drive and their Holiday Food Drive.
Annually, we offer a legal update for our members presented by New Jersey labor attorneys. We support the National Association of Healthcare Recruiters by maintaining and encouraging membership on the national level.
